The Void

The Void is what exists inbetween every reality. It is what holds the Multiverse together.
It cannot be destroyed, for it was never created. It has always existed. The Void cannot act without a body, and needs someone to take care of it. The Master of the Void acts as the "eyes and sword" for the Void. The Servant of the Void is an entity that forms once a Master has been chosen, it's purpose to assist the Master and convey messages from the Void to the Master.

The Void.
The Void needs a Master for many reasons.Sometimes, weak spots in the fabric of reality form. These are called Rifts. Rifts can lead into different worlds, or to the Void itself. They are very dangerous and need to be sealed quickly, before the Rift grows in size and consumes the universe it formed in.Granted the power of the Void, the Master is able to seal Rifts and absorb the damage it caused. Because Rifts are the embodiment of suffering, this takes a great mental toll on the Master.

Master of the Void

The Master of the Void is the one chosen by the Void to act as its "eyes and sword." The current Master of the Void (MotV) is Komi, also sometimes known as Ronin or Creator.Komi was chosen by the Void to be it's master because Komi no longer has a singular place of origin to call her own. The reason for this is simple, yet complicated, to explain. Let's start with the story about a doll owned by a god.
Kari's Story

Kari Barisol, in her 'human' form.
In the universe of The Evillious Chronicles, in a world called the First Period (Earth), there was a scientist named Behemo Barisol. Behemo was born to a very wealthy family, and yet he was very disliked by others simply because of his habit of crossdressing and playing with dolls.Behemo had one favorite doll, which he named Kari. Kari was very precious to him, and even though the doll could not respond, Behemo would always talk to Kari as if she were real.

Levia Barisol and Behemo Barisol.
Behemo worked with other scientists on a virtual world, called the Second Period. Behemo created an avatar for this world as his 'ideal self', named Levia Barisol. Because the avatars in this virtual world started to become more advanced than the First Period, the scientists decided to create HER to introduce a crisis to the Second Period.During a time of distress, Behemo locked himself in his room surrounded by the limbs of his dolls. Kari, Behemo's favorite doll, was safe, and he huddled in his room with her in his arms. It was at that moment where Levia reached out to him through a mirror, offering to 'rescue' him. Taking Kari with him, Behemo went with Levia into the Second Period.

A Black Box.
While in the Second Period, Behemo created an avatar for his doll, Kari. He created a Black Box to create and store her spirit data, and put it inside her new body to act as her 'heart'. This Black Box was named 'Black Box Type K".Now able to experience life, Kari was employed in Held Yggdra's Clinic and Research Facility, along with her father and her 'aunt', Levia. There, she learned more about the human mind, helping treat people suffering from mental illness.Another scientist by the name of Seth Twiright took interest in Kari's existence. Under the guise of becoming her friend, Seth infected Kari with HERs, as a means to spread Malice and out of spite towards Behemo.

Seth Twiright in his 'human' form.
Finding out his daughter had been infected with Malice, Behemo was furious. Because Kari was now an HER, there was no way for her to be able to board Climb One, and she would be left in the Second Period and thus be destroyed with it.So, he wiped his daughter's memories of their life together, and used her Black Box to send her away. The Black Box soared the universe, accidently encountering a Rift. There, Kari was sucked in and transported to the world of The Kagerou Project.
Kaori's Story

The Snake of Creating Eyes, Kaori, in her 'human' form.
There was a Medusa named Azami, born into a world of humans who shut her out and called her a monster. She was the queen of the Snakes, which grew from her long hair. Each Snake had it's own supernatural ability, ten of them being the most significant. These Snakes could attach themselves to humans, as their desires give the Snakes life. Most of her Snakes are driven by the purpose to fulfill desires, all except for the Snake of Clearing Eyes, also called Saeru. Saeru was Azami's very first Snake, born from her desire to understand who she is. When Azami's wish had changed, Saeru felt betrayed and rebelled against her, tricking her into creating the Kagerou Daze, a never-ending world, which he would use to force Azami's granddaughter, Marry, into using to rewind the world.

Saeru bowing to his 'Queen', Marry Kozakura.
During one of the many routes Saeru and Marry had created, Saeru had come to recognize the existence of Snake he had never seen before. She was weak and small, but didn't seem to have been born from Azami's desires at all. This was the Snake of Creating Eyes, also called Kaori. Curious of this new 'sibling', Saeru took the role of her smart older brother, feeding her stories of a utopia that they would make together. This 'utopia' was actually code for forcing Marry to rewind the world again.Even without needed a human to channel her powers, Kaori created a vessel for her to use to control her powers. Kaori took inspiration for her 'human' form from a girl she once saw in the real world (who was Kari).

The Snake of Clearing Eyes, Saeru, facing off against the Medusa, Azami.
Kari's Black Box awoke in the hands of a young woman named Sachi Toma, who had been living all by herself. Because of Kari's amnesic state, Sachi allowed her to stay in her home for the time being. Wanting to pay back the stranger's kindness, Kari devoted her entire existence to making Sachi happy.Whenever Saeru was not there to accompany her in the Kagerou Daze, Kaori would observe the human world. That was how she saw Kari. She thought she was the most beautiful person she had ever seen, and so combined Kari's looks with Azami's to create her 'human' vessel.

Sachi Toma.
Kaori admired Kari's devotion to Sachi, which inspired her to devote herself to Saeru's quest for 'utopia.' Taking advantage of her innocence, Saeru used Kaori to spy on Marry and her friends (The Mekakushi Dan). Because she had observed them for so long, (and because each of the Dan members had their own Snake) Kaori grew to view the Dan as her friends, her siblings. She wished to take them to the 'utopia' that she and Saeru wanted to create.Sadly, at the end of every Route, Kaori would face the harsh truth behind Saeru's lies. Killing off the Dan one by one, Saeru would mock Kaori for her innocence. Because Saeru had learned that Kaori was actually born from Marry's desires, he would use Kaori to force Marry to rewind the world. This had happened countless times, Kaori losing her memories each time it had happened. Until something changed.
RE_Birthday Story
Noticing Kaori's fixation on Kari and Sachi, Saeru decided to torment his sister by infiltrating into Sachi's personal life.Posing as her inner voice, Saeru took advantage of Sachi's poor mental state and manipulated her into sabotaging everything that she and Kari had worked on to improve Sachi's life. This spiraled Sachi back into the deep depression she was in before she met Kari. Not only that, but as Saeru used Sachi to observe Kari, he felt an unknown power coming from the doll. He then instructed Kaori to latch herself onto Kari, so that when the Route comes to an end, Saeru can have both Sachi and Kari killed. Then the day came. Sachi had locked herself in her room, denying Kari entry. Saeru's words of discouragement haunted Sachi's mind. Soon enough, Kari barged into Sachi's room, rambling words of encouragement and desperately trying to help Sachi out of her state.

Sachi possessed by Saeru.
Too far gone, Sachi (under Saeru's influence) stabbed Kari in the chest. Saeru then attempted to use Sachi to steal Kari's Black Box, but was interrupted when Kaori had a sudden realization that she was being manipulated, leading to her taking over Kari's body and stabbing Sachi as a feeble attempt to kill Saeru and to put a stop to the torment he had put so many people through.Kari's Black Box quickly healed her own wounds and Kaori returned control back to Kari, who was in a state of shock upon seeing Sachi bleed out on the floor. Her emotions were so overwhelming that her body couldn't handle it and her Black Box exploded, opening up a Rift and sucking Kari (and Kaori) away.Kari and Kaori found themselves in a dark, unfamiliar place. Kari's Black Box was struggling to heal itself, and so her body began to crack like a broken doll. Kaori apologized for everything that she let Saeru do. Because Saeru had stabbed Kari while Kaori was in her body, Kaori was bleeding out, dying alongside the doll.

Kari recalling the 'song she heard somewhere' as she slowly dies.
However, Kaori was determined to fix things and end the suffering Saeru had caused for good. Very briefy, Kari could recall a memory from her past life, and told Kaori that she was once taught a kind of revival spell, a song that she had heard somewhere.Kaori desperately tried to help Kari remember this song, which was the Clockwork Lullaby. The irregular pair of girls began to sing the familiar yet unknown 'lu li la' melody together, which ended up working as a special kind of Re_birthday spell that reactivated Kari's Black Box.When Behemo had created the Black Box, he put in a special code that would allow Kari to perform a unique Re_birthday spell that allowed her to 'reincarnate' herself if needed. However, because Kaori also sung the same spell, it worked on her as well, resulting in the Black Box reincarnating the two of them as one.

Kaori and Kari awakening in the Void.
The Black Box then repaired itself and became stronger, and thus it sucked in both of Kari and Kaori's memories and powers into itself. This reformation turned the two girls into an entirely new being, a second chance for them both...This new being awoke in the same place shortly after, hearing a voice calling out to her. The being was unaware of where she was, who was speaking, or if she even had a name. The voice, who called itself the Void, told the being that she had been brought to the Void to serve a new purpose - to act as the Void's 'Master,' and protect the Multiverse by sealing Rifts and taking on the suffering of reality as her own.“You who no longer have a place to call your home, you shall become my eyes!”And so, this new being was given a purpose. Known for now as simply the Master of the Void, she took her title with pride and went on to start her first task, which would be to travel to the world of Fire Emblem: Awakening to seal a Rift that was growing somewhere.

The new being, called the Master of the Void.

The Master's Journey
a condensed timeline of the Master's travels throughout the Multiverse. will be updated frequently.
last update: 8/26/25
For their first mission, the Master enters the world of Fire Emblem: Awakening.
After a hundred or so years of staying in the shadows, the Master runs into Chrom's army, the Shepards, after they saved the Master from being ambushed by Risen. Seeing himself in the stranger, the groups tactician (Robin) extended an offer to the Master, inviting them to join the cause. Touched by his kindness, the Master accepts.
Eventually, the Master creates their first 'identity' - Komi, a strange woman who knew little of the outside world.
Through their battles and talks together, the tactician, Robin, and Komi catch feelings for one another, and fall in love.
After the two year time-skip, and the introduction of the Shepard's children from the future, Komi begins to feel left out amongst her newlywed peers. She does not truly belong in this world, and she is unable to have children of her own.
... But that isn't enough for the Master to give up.
Komi studies magic for weeks, trying to find a way to make herself more "human" so she and Robin could have a child together, but she continues to fail. A mysterious hooded figure visits her one night with a baby, one with dragon's blood. Little did Komi know that this encounter would curse her in the years that followed.
Komi brings the infant to her lover, and they name this child [REDACTED], and raise them as if the baby had been their very own.
After a series of tragic events (Emmeryn’s assassination by Validar, and Robin’s corruption into Grima’s vessel), Komi retreats deep into the woods to raise the child on her own. Knowing she was unable to intervene with this world’s events, despite how much she wanted to. The Master’s attachment to the worlds they come across will only get worse from here.
One night, while raising the child, Komi discovers a Rift and seals it. It’s then that she remembers why she’s even here, and that she can’t stay. So, she makes preparations so that her child will be able to survive on their own, as they cannot come with her, being a resident of this world. And once that is done, Komi spends her last moments with her child playing a game. And then, she leaves.
note: these next few events are not 100% back-to-back unless stated otherwise. these may be moved around.
The Master enters the world of Gravity Falls.
Reusing their previous identity, Komi, she takes a further step back from allowing herself to interact with the residents, to avoid any kind of attachment.
The town of Gravity Falls itself becomes Komi's fixation, curious as to why the place is so strange and weird compared to other places in it's world. She begins to conduct her own studies, silently observing anything she comes across and making notes on it.
This behavior catches the attention of a defeated and imprisoned Bill Cipher, who creates a Book of Bill as a way to communicate with the Master.
The gullible Komi falls for the demon's charms and promises of knowledge, and strikes a deal — if she can create a new vessel for him, he will grant her one wish. And her wish? Simply; the ability to dream.
For months, the two grow closer, as Komi begins to construct a puppet/doll-like body using a humanoid figure combined with Bill's likeness. It's here, the Master realizes, that this talent of 'dollmaking' they have seems to be natural. Too natural. And thus, the Master begins to question if they had any kind of life before becoming who they are now.
Halfway through the vessel's completion, Bill decides to incentivize Komi by granting her wish early; he takes the Master into their own "mind," as if they were dreaming. In this dream, they both discover something hidden within the Master's subconscious (or, Black Box)—memories of Kari and Kaori. They were never deleted; just locked away.
post-VOID events (aka things that happen after the story "VOID" ends (huge huge work in progress)
The Master enters the world of Resident Evil.
Using the name Komi Kawasaki, she eventually finds herself taken in by Umbrella, and is used as a test subject for the Progenitor Virus for a brief period (until they realize her body doesn't react to it).
For a while, Komi works directly with one of the founders of Umbrella: Edward Ashford, and his son Alexander.
One of Komi’s first missions is to act as a babysitter/bodyguard for twins Alexia and Alfred Ashford, the genetically modified clones of Veronica Ashford, who were created by Alexander Ashford. The project involving the creation of the twins is kept secret due to the research being considered “controversial,” but Komi takes a great interest in it. However, she doesn't get the chance to ask Alexander about any of it.
1988 - As Oswell Spencer plots to assassinate this other fellow co-founder, he gives Komi a new purpose at Umbrella — to become a spy on the inside. She is given the codename ‘Ronin’, and her missions are simple; make sure no one even dares to think about betraying Umbrella. An easy job. She doesn’t even have to worry too much about the ‘no intervention’ rule, as Umbrella has their own ways of sniffing out and dealing with whistleblowers and traitors. Komi, or Ronin, is simply an observer. A source they can use to confirm any suspicions.
1990s - Wesker leaves Umbrella to join the US military. During this time, Komi is temporarily assigned to work alongside Birkin, mainly because another unnamed Umbrella scientist needed to be investigated. She’s only his assistant for two years before the suspect is taken care of and Komi is transferred somewhere else for a time.
1996 - Wesker is reassigned by Umbrella, who were able to enact him to be the team captain of the newly formed S.T.A.R.S. team under the Raccoon City Police Department. Umbrella grows suspicious of both Albert Wesker and William Birkin, suspecting that they may try to betray Umbrella, due to Wesker’s recent history of working with the US Military and Birkin’s manic outbursts observed by his wife, Annette, and his coworkers. With Birkin already having so many eyes on him, Umbrella enlist Komi to join S.T.A.R.S. team Alpha, with her secret mission being to keep an eye on Wesker and confirm any suspicions from her supervisor (Sergei Vladimir).
Ecliptic Express Incident July 23rd, 1998 - Komi overhears Wesker and Birkin discussing leaving Umbrella. Birkin provides Wesker with a special version of the T-virus, as part of a plan Wesker has to fake his death. Wesker promises that he’ll stay in contact with Birkin after the mission, to keep an eye on him just in case. Later on, Wesker will try to return Birkin’s favor for basically saving his life.
Mansion Incident July 24th, 1998 - Komi originally partners up with Chris Redfield, but after the Plant 42 encounter, Komi sticks with Wesker instead. Wesker constantly tries to get Komi off his back by purposefully leaving her in traps, to zombies, etc. But she always comes back barely harmed to follow him around.
Before Wesker releases the Tyrant, Komi reveals her true role as a spy, which he’d sort of suspected already. They have a brief talk about what they’ll do after this, with Wesker offering for Komi to join him. She refuses, then gives him a cryptic message of ‘do whatever you please, as long as it’s interesting, I’ll be there’, and leaves.
Pre-September 1998 - Komi fails to report her mission status to Sergei Vladimir, who promptly removes Wesker’s ability to access the Umbrella data files. Once she shows her face around Umbrella again, they give her a warning and a new mission. Knowing she’s on their hit list now, Komi begins preparations for her inevitable departure from the organization.
Umbrella has Komi join the G-virus research team, as one of Birkin’s project supervisors. The two were already familiar because of interactions in the past. They have a lot to catch up on, as well, with Birkin even allowing Komi to babysit his daughter Sherry for a few nights when he and Annette were too busy with work.
Birkin begins acting even more manic and erratic, because he knows Umbrella plans to get rid of him. He contacts Wesker in secret, who then plans to send a rescue team his way, as a way to return the favor. He also contacts the US government, who promise to rescue him and his family if he sells the G-virus sample to them.
Operation: NESTWRECKER September 23rd, 1998 - HUNK’s team takes an anonymous tip on where Birkin is, and they attempt to arrest him. He’s however killed by one of the squad members. Needless to say, Wesker’s rescue team doesn't reach Birkin in time. Komi stays behind in NEST, wanting to stick around to watch the destruction unfold around her. This is due to her attachment to William Birkin, his wife Annette, and their daughter Sherry. She simply wants to make sure at least one of them makes it out alive in the end.
Raccoon City Destruction Incident September 23rd-October 1st, 1998 - Komi finds herself not only being hunted by Mr. X (ordered to kill any survivor it sees), also by Nemesis. Umbrella decided that she served her purpose to them, and that she's more of a risk to the company, and so they added her to Nemesis’s target list. Komi gets frustrated by this, only because she was never a real member of S.T.A.R.S. and now she has to worry about getting the attention of the Tyrants.
Komi briefly encounters Ada Wong, who recognizes her as someone Wesker told her to keep an eye out for. She gives Komi a message regarding Wesker’s recent activity.
Komi escapes Raccoon City, after Ada directs her towards the rescue team Wesker sent for Birkin. Unfortunately, each team member got killed by the monsters roaming the city, so Komi steals their helicopter and goes on her own way.
The Week Before the Rockfort Island Incident December 20th, 1998 - Komi visits the island for the purpose of speaking to Alexia Ashford. But Alexia was in cryostasis and she could tell that Alfred was pretending to be her in her place. Komi instead asked Alfred about genetic engineering, though Alfred saw her as an enemy (and was angered by her personal questions), and he refused to help her, despite their past. So Komi just made copies of Alexander’s research and left the island.
Rockfort Island Incident December 27th-29th, 1998 - During the events of the game, Wesker finds evidence that Komi had been there just the week before, and it motivates him to find her again now that he knows she survived Raccoon City.
Caucasus Outbreak 2003 - By chance, Komi and Wesker run into each other while they both went to investigate a facility in Russia. The first week she had been there, an outbreak happened (plotted by Wesker and an Umbrella employee he tricked into being an inside man, Elroy). It affected a nearby village.
Komi joins Wesker in the Organization after the latter kills Sergei, the pair finally reunited at last. And thus their relationship begins.
Abduction of the President's Daughter Incident August 2004 - Komi gets bored of the business work she has to do with the Organization, so she catches a ride with Ada and goes to Spain with her.
Wesker finds out and gets upset at Komi’s reckless behavior, but lets her do whatever she wants as long as she doesn't interfere with Ada’s mission, or anything else going on within the area. She’s only here out of curiosity, anyway.
Komi runs into Luis Serra-Navarro, and takes a liking to him. She witnesses his unfortunate death from a distance.
Ada goes AWOL and takes off with the Dominant sample of the Las Plagas parasite that Wesker hired her to fetch for him, which pisses him off. Still in the village, Komi meets back up with some members of the Organization, dragging around Jack Krauser’s mutated corpse. Since Krauser was mutated with a Dominant Las Plagas parasite, Wesker finds a use for his remains.
Penamstan Conspiracy Incidents 2006 - Sometime before this, Komi and Wesker join TRICELL.
General Wilson was conspiring with TRICELL to develop bioweapons, and this gets exposed, and he is terminated from his position by the U.S. military. Wilson is taken into TRICELL’s custody, and Komi was part of the team that was sent to fetch him.
During this time, Komi and Wesker have been working on creating their own children, using Ashford’s research. This is called the Genesis Project. The children are named Jack and Jill, after the nursery rhyme, because Komi thought the names Hansel and Gretel were too corny. (An Evillious callback, as Komi is distantly related to Hansel and Gretel Moonlit).
Raid on the Spencer Estate August 2006 - The BSAA was given a tip from a reliable source on Spencer's whereabouts. BSAA operators Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine went to the estate on that same night in the hopes of arresting the fugitive company founder and gaining the whereabouts of Wesker himself. After Jill jumps out the window with Wesker, Wesker saves Jill and calls for a rescue helicopter to retrieve them both.
Wesker begins to run experiments on Jill, and creates a device he uses to brainwash and control her. Feeling guilty for her old friend's situation, knowing she can't intervene, Komi does all that she can to ease Jill's pain.
Kijuju Autonomous Zone Incident 2008-March 2009 - Komi disagrees with Wesker’s Uroboros Virus. Shortly before the first Wesker boss fight, Komi and Wesker argue, make love one last time, and Komi gets in a helicopter and leaves.
Later on, Chris tells Komi what happened to Wesker after she turns herself into the BSAA, and she’s obviously devastated.
Also, at some point, the laboratory that Project Genesis was taking place is bombed, which kills everyone inside, including the children Jack and Jill. The Progenitor Virus within them causes them to return as Tyrant-esc humans, which results in their blonde hair turning black and their skin turning gray. Komi is separated from her children for a while, as she think they’re dead, which adds to her grief, and anger towards Chris.
